IDSure and Ledgid unite to build secure digital vault for seafarer data

Identity verification specialist IDSure and maritime blockchain firm Ledgid have announced a partnership to build a secure digital vault for seafarer data. The digital vault will allow seafarers to manage their certificates, medical reports and sea service records in one place. The blockchain-based system ensures that the data is secure, immutable and can be shared with recruiters or port authorities at the touch of a button. The partners aim to eliminate the burden of repetitive paperwork and the risks associated with fraudulent documents. "This solution puts the seafarer back in control of their own data," said the CEO of IDSure. The platform is expected to launch later this year.
