We are pleased to share that Marin Shipmanagement Ltd., Limassol/Cyprus (MSM) has joined forces with LEDGID as a specialist partner supporting the development of our crewing and compliance capability. Maritime careers are shaped by a wide and constantly evolving set of regulatory, competency and training requirements. These vary by rank, vessel type, area of operation and the individual’s stage of professional development. Capturing those requirements accurately, and keeping them current, is essential if LEDGID is to provide meaningful guidance to both Seafarers and Managers. MSM will support LEDGID as a subject matter expert in this area, helping us review and interpret relevant STCW, crewing and professional-development requirements and translate them into the compliance- and training logic used within the LEDGID platform. The objective is not to create new standards, but to ensure that LEDGID reflects the regulatory and industry requirements that already exist and can use them to assess an individual’s ongoing professional development throughout their maritime career. For Seafarers, this will support clearer visibility of what their current qualifications and records demonstrate, where gaps may exist and what may be required as they progress between ranks, vessel types and future roles. For Managers, it will provide a more structured view of crew compliance and development against relevant requirements, while supporting better preparation, planning and engagement with their seafarers.
